thats it game over, heading home

After Tom arrived back yesterday just in time to see the container doors being closed (good timing) yesterday was a romantic goodbye meal at the local Italian restaurant and then home to watch a very very long closing shinding on TV (glad we did not go, last year it was pretty boring as well!)

Then on to Lennin's bar, took bloody ages to get there as a lot of the services laid on for the non Chinese speakers have dissapeared so we drove around for about half an hour to get there, but it was worth it. A goodbye beer with a load of Team GBR out for the last night in Qingdao celebrating Saskia's birthday; but the highlight of the night was when Nick Rogers got up on stage to play the guitar with the house band and Chris sang a couple of numbers with him, watching Olympians bounce around a wet floor with ISAF officials and local Chinese really put it all in prosepective. The sailing has brought a very Western sport/culture to Qingdao and in the end the two cultures mixed it up big style.

Tom sets off on his long journey back to Australia this afternoon and Chris heads back to LA via Honkers at lunchtime, whilst Eileen is sticking around to make sure nobody tries to nick any containers.

Weybiza 2012-bring it on.
