What will be on the blog tomorrow?

We had another mega busy day today and I have just got back to the Hotel and lost all will to update this blog. I think I have looked at more Laser Battens and centerboards than one should in a day. The team have however got some very exciting updates from today. Highlights include:
• Picture of a legend
• Uniform of the Day
• Insider view of the container of the day
And much, much more.

Man Down - Green Tongue Rob!

I think today Rob decided to enter and win the biggest loser competition in only one day! He is not a well boy! The picture was taken at roughly 7pm tonight and he had the morning off due to movements down stairs. We are hoping he will make a full recovery by tomorrow. He has however managed to charm the NZ coaching team into providing him with a chair and rehydratation drinks!

Boat Draw - Bonus Ball Machine

Container of the Day 28th July

28th of July and we feature the Team GBR container/ containers! The talk on the Dinghy Park is that this is the container to beat! It has it all: AC, Flat Screen TV, Internet access. There is even talk about table tennis tables, restaurants etc but we can not confirm this. Our favorite feature is that it appears that every other team has tried to copy it! We will shortly see if other Nations have top triumphed it!

July 28th Round Up

10:15 pm
What a massive day! Skipped lunch today, but had a load on day. It started with the allocation of the boats using the Chinese version of the Camelot lottery ball machine. We then gave out 71 boats, moved 150 centre board around the dinghy park and much, much more.
I will never complain about the weather again! Today could not have been much worse. Conditions today: super humid, hot and lacking in the wind. I have now worked out why every venue sells beans, they really want some wind!

27th July Update

What an action packed Day. It started really well with a selection of team buses.

We then had the joy of bus 2

and we then had the Combo bag girls come and play - Watch this to the end and watch Rob melt under the heat!

5:48 Qingdao 27th July The Early Morning Report

I am just starting to think about what we have installed for the day. It goes without saying that it is going to be fun! How much will depend on the following:
• 124 trolley end caps fitting!
• Foils being unpacked with no damage
• Positioning all kits in same area on the boats
• Securing the covers in the same way
The weather looks great – humid with a Qingdao gale (about 6 knots of breeze!). We will keep you posted later today!

26th July Jobs List

• Graphic 80 Boats
• Lay all boats in numerical order
• Kit out with spars etc
• Covers on

Container of the Day

We start our daily feature on container of the day with the LaserPerformance base for the next four weeks. Our USP’s are:
• 40ft of container space
• Loudest door opening available
• Painted in Orange to follow our brand guidelines
• Detached shore side location

The wrong way round!

So the trip to Qingdao China went without a hitch, as long as you exclude the following facts:
1) When you fly into China - customs expect you to have an exit ticket!
2) Trying to purchase a ticket to resolve the above should not be done 30 minutes before you fly!
3) Do not check your luggage all the way through to Qingdao.
