Friday Round Up

The day started with a forecast for breeze, but what is forecast and reality is often to totally different things. We are now settling into a routine which is as follows:
• Start with repairs
• Go on the water at 11am
• Watch the local helpers be sick
• Take the local helpers to the medical boat
• Return to the shore (as the racing is postponed)
• Carry out more repairs
This evening Rob was close to tears with emotion as we measured the boat of the winner of Race 4, the People’s Republic of Yorkshires very own Paul Goodison. Here we will list why for reasons other than sailing Paul deserves a medal here at the Games.

• He didn’t go to a public school
• He likes football
• He has ginger hair
• He occasionally likes a beer
• My mum thinks he is the nicest of my friends ever to stay over at my mums house in Wales.
We do not favor Team GBRs Goody purely because he is a Brit, we do have a number of other favourite sailors:
• Andrew Murdoch: A legend of a bloke who doesn’t seem to enjoy sailing yet does really well.
• Matias Del Solar: A South American smooth operator who was filmed on the opening day of racing wearing what can be only described as hot pants-only a South American could pull this off.
• Tom Slingsby: Not having the best of regattas here but has not let relative fame in the sailing world go to his head; and both his sisters are really fit. His dad was also one of the hardest working blokes at the 2008 Worlds in Terrigal.
• Susanna Romero, just google her and see a photo, think you will work it out from there.
• Gintare from Lithuania (surname is too hard to pronounce): Again a looker who is very friendly and courts a former legend of a Laser sailor from Brazil.
• Anna Tunnicliffe: She would probably be able to win in a fight against any of the Laser staff and is generally a very good fun person; also she has recently wed one of the funniest sailors in World Sailing called Brad Funk
Boring sailing information:

Goodie (GBR) is leading after four races, Beanie (aka Ben Ainslie) is leading going into the medal race in the Finn and the blonde trio from GBR are also leading going into their medal race.
Quote of the day
‘My man boobs are now bigger than most Asian girls breasts’-annom (its not Chris and its not Eileen-do the math)
